Summary:

Senior Director of Professional Education and Customer Engagement is responsible for developing and leading the Professional Education strategy that will create a competitive advantage for Relievant. This includes the development, implementation, and evaluation of all professional (clinical based) training programs that facilitate learning, professional development, compliance with IFU’s and best practices. Additionally, the Senior Director will develop and execute initiatives, programs, and events that result in high levels of customer engagement.

Essential Functions:

Professional Education

  • Develop and drive a Professional Education strategy in support of Relievant’s short-term goals and long-term vision.
  • Provide strategic direction and people leadership to the Clinical Education and Development (CED) and Professional Education teams.
  • Develop a strong understanding of the company’s current proprietary technologies, products, and market strategy to develop professional education programs (including Fellows, Peer-to-Peer (P2P), and internally led programs) that complement and support the organization.
  • Implement metrics to track and evaluate program effectiveness and revise training programs, materials, and instructional aids as required to ensure achievement of program objectives by individual learners and the plan.
  • Partner with Marketing, Reimbursement, and other cross-functional groups to support the launch of new products with comprehensive training materials
  • Develop, recommend, and implement plans for possible locations, contract execution, style and method or operation for training facilities.

Customer Engagement

  • Establish and lead a customer engagement strategy that includes definitions of key customers and educational programs for different levels of customers.
  • Work with key customers to develop educational and training partnerships.
  • Identify and develop working relationships with KOLs and key customers in each region
  • Develop and oversee implementation of Clinical Advisory Board
  • Design and implement large and nationwide P2P events, including user meetings, Faculty and APP Summits, and other online, virtual, and face-to-face events.
  • Manage and facilitate physician faculty in the execution of in-house courses and field/web-based activities.
  • Regularly communicate the “Voice of the Customer” to company senior leaders to better shape the direction and content of future KOL related initiatives

General

  • Collaborate with Sales on design and implementation of Territory Manager and Clinical (case coverage) Specialist proficiency process.
  • Lead the cost analysis, budget preparation, and fiscal operation of field education and training programs and related events.
  • Be an effective member of the Relievant leadership team and play a key role in the development of the overall business strategy.
  • Comply with and maintains an active and ongoing commitment to compliance with all company policies and applicable federal, state and local laws, including but not limited to HIPAA, Sunshine Act and Guidelines on Interaction with US Healthcare Professionals.
  • Able to travel up to 40%

Experience:

  • 15+ years experience in Professional Education in medical devices
  • 10+ years experience in leading people and teams
  • Experience in working collaboratively with cross-functional team members and senior managers
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong rapport and relate well to internal and external customers; company and cross-functional business partners, hospital administration, physicians, facility office staff, as well as hospital’s clinical and economic decision makers.

Our corporate office is in Edina, MN. We provide a flexible hybrid work model that includes days working from our corporate office and remotely. We would also consider candidates working remotely or from our Sunnyvale, CA location.
